It’s Time To Break Free of Selfishness

ITS TIME TO BREAK FREE OF SELFISHNESS

Philippians 2:4 (NLT) — 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Matthew 20:26–28 (NLT) — 26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Seven simple ways to break free of selfishness:

1. ________________ with my family.

Exodus 20:12 (NLT) — 12 “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

2. ________________ my colleagues.

Ephesians 4:29 (NLT) — 29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

3. ____________ for my friends.

1 Timothy 2:1 (NLT) — 1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

4. _________________ My Friends to Church

Colossians 4:5 (NLT) — 5 Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.

5. _____________ someone in need.

Proverbs 19:17 (NLT) — 17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!

6. _______________ Kindness to A Stranger

Hebrews 13:2 (NLT) — 2 Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

7.  _______________ The Humility Of Jesus

Philippians 2:4 (NLT) — 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Philippians 2:5–8 (NLT) — 5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
