The Great Commitment

1.22.2023

Matthew 7:24-25 24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”

The Foundations of a Great Life:

A Great ______________to the Great Commandments and the Great Commission done with Great Compassion will grow a Great _________ and a Great _________.

FOUR COMMITMENTS TO BUILD MY LIFE ON

  1. COMMIT TO ___________________________________

_________________IN MY LIFE.

MATTHEW 22:37-38 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

OUR CORE VALUE:

We Value _________

“Jesus Matters to our Daily Lives”

Am I following Jesus daily?

Matthew 6:33 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

  1. COMMIT TO _____________________________________

___________________ OF MY LIFE.

PSALM 1:1-3

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

OUR CORE VALUE:

We Value ___________________________

“Teaching is for Life-Change”

Are my priorities consistent with Scripture?

Luke 11:28 28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

  1. COMMIT TO _________________________________

__________________________ IN MY LIFE.

MATTHEW 22:39 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

ACTS 2:42, 46-47 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper[a]), and to prayer.

46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity[a] 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
